The easiest way to avoid scams is to deal locally. It is always better to meet the seller in person then to deal with an anonymous person over the Internet. Never give out your bank account information, credit card number, or any other type of financial or personal information.

Be very cautious of distant people paying for items with a personal or certified check. Often these checks will be cashed by the bank, but later found to be fake. The bank will hold you responsible for the money.

Reporting Scams
If you suspect a scam, send us an email and we will investigate it further. You should also notify the FTC as soon as possible at 877-FTC-HELP (877-382-4357). you can also fill out the FTC online form at http://www.ftc.gov.
